Blessing and Inauguration of the RSM Events Center

The PWC Family gathered together in a Holy Mass dedicated to the Inauguration of the RSM Events Center

It’s a happy day!

Today, 1st of October 2011, the Philippine Women’s College of Davao family came together in their “happy red” outfit to celebrate the Blessing and Inauguration of the newest edifice within the campus, the RSM Events Center. It hasn’t been a long time ago when the foundations of this new building was laid-down. In fact, the construction only took approximately seven months to complete.

The event center was named after the first president of the Philippine Women’s College of Davao, Rosa Santos Munda. It is a realization of one of her visions that is to upgrade the school’s facilities in order to improve the quality of learning experiences of students enrolled in the institution. It is a dedication to her meritorious contributions in the growth and expansion of the PWC of Davao.

The event center can seat up to 2,000 individuals in theater type set-up and 500 individuals for banquet style set-ups. It has centralized air conditioning and leading edge sounds and lighting facilities. The backstage is spacious and complete with comfortable dressing rooms, toilets and wash area. The center has a huge parking area for guests.

Indeed, this new landmark is a testimony to the devotion of the PWC of Davao Board of Trustees, the EXECOM and MANCOM lead by Dr. Amelou Benitez-Reyes, the Faculty and Staff, and the commitment of generous PWC of Davao Alumni. It is a legacy to the many generations of students who will enter the portal of this institution and wear in their hearts the PWC heritage.
